Twitter is working on a paid version, but it has not yet been defined

Among the world’s largest social networks, Twitter remains one of the most important. Although it is a network that does not have the same user volume as other networks, having a large number of people of high standing means that it remains one of the reference networks to keep us updated.

Nowadays, most of the company’s revenue comes from advertising, i.e. from advertisements in the form of advertised tweets that appear when scrolling through our TimeLine. According to Bloomberg, the company plans to integrate payment functions into the platform.

While Twitter is growing cheaply, its advertising revenue is not growing at the pace of its direct competitors. It is risky for a company that its largest source of income is not performing well and is therefore looking for alternative sources of income.

What else can Twitter offer besides ads? Well, like many other apps, a monthly subscription model where users pay to access exclusive resources. In a world where everything seems to have a signature, it may seem like an easy task, but it may not quite be.

Besides removing ads, it lacks a really engaging feature that allows users to pay for a service that they can use for free. The Twitter team is currently working on ideas that can add value to the platform.

Among the possible options, Tweetdeck could get exclusive tools for subscribers, although it is also true that users can pay third parties in exchange for exclusive content. It would always be interesting to offer advanced analysis tools or more customization options.

Twitter has always been very careful with its monetization plans because with a product as consolidated as Twitter, a misstep can be fatal.
